Job summary

Randstad Finance is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist in Hemel Hempstead for a permanent, hybrid role. You will generate invoices, manage collections, and resolve billing queries across multiple projects and contracts.

You will work with SAP/COINS and other ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams. AAT/ACCA/CIMA studies are encouraged and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in Accounts Receivable or similar finance role with invoicing and cash collection.
• Experience with ERP/finance systems and MS Excel.
• Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).
• Strong accuracy and deadline orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate generation of customer invoices and collection of receivables.
• Support the Finance Shared Services team in managing high-volume receivables across projects.
• Build relationships with clients, project managers and internal teams to resolve billing queries.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations and internal controls on billing, retention and variations.
• Validate and process invoices and credit notes accurately.
• Maintain adherence to SLAs, credit control policies, and financial compliance.
• Work with Commercial and Finance teams on cash application and discrepancies.
• Support day-to-day receivables operations and ERP system activities.
• Resolve duplicates, manage credit notes, and respond to queries.
• Reconcile customer accounts and prepare AR reports and KPIs.
• Implement credit control measures to reduce overdue debt.
• Apply payments accurately and maintain ERP data integrity.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers and work to deadlines.
