Job summary

Citi is seeking an Application Support Senior Analyst to ensure the stability and performance of Citi's mission-critical applications across the global network. You will monitor environments, diagnose issues, participate in releases, and drive improvements in partnership with traders, users and vendors.

The role combines technical problem-solving with clear communication in a fast-moving financial services setting.

Qualifications

Experience in an Application Support role, with a proven track record of managing production environments.
Experience installing, configuring, and supporting business applications and their operating environments.
Proficiency in programming or scripting languages, with the willingness and ability to continue learning.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills — able to filter, prioritise, and validate complex information from multiple sources.
Experience with issue tracking, reporting, and problem management tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical issues into plain language for non-IT stakeholders.
Ability to plan, organise, and re-prioritise workload quickly in a dynamic environment.
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor & Maintain – Start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring, regional handovers; ensure applications meet SLAs.
Resolve & Escalate – Diagnose and resolve issues; assess risk and communicate to management.
Release & Deploy – Participate in releases across development to production; conduct post-implementation analysis.
Improve & Optimise – Identify improvements; lead stability, efficiency and effectiveness initiatives.
Risk & Compliance – Perform risk reconciliations; identify vulnerabilities; ensure contingency procedures.
Coach & Collaborate – Act as SME to stakeholders; liaise between users, technology groups and vendors.
