Job summary

Focus Group is hiring an AI & Automation Engineer in Shoreham-by-Sea, a hybrid role shaping intelligent automation across Microsoft 365, on-premises environments, automation platforms and AI technologies.

You will design and build automation that streamlines onboarding, service delivery and customer experience, while producing clear documentation and scalable solutions for internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Strong PowerShell scripting experience with Windows Server.
• Experience with Active Directory, DHCP and DNS.
• Proficiency in workflow automation platforms such as Rewst.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID and Exchange Online.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph API and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL / Azure SQL).
• Hands-on AI / LLM platforms experience and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
• A practical, hands-on approach to improving processes with technology.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation workflows across on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Build and maintain PowerShell scripts for Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Develop automations using Microsoft Graph API, Entra ID, and Exchange Online.
• Create and support AI-powered automations and digital agents across platforms.
• Configure and tune AI models to improve adoption and efficiency.
• Utilise n8n or similar tools to expand automation capabilities as needed.
• Troubleshoot and support existing automations for internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads to identify new automation opportunities.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and user guides.
