Job summary

Wirral Council is seeking an experienced Interim Advanced Practitioner for the Adult Social Care MASH Team. The role is initially a 3-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension or permanency, and combines remote and in-office work twice a week.

You will lead complex casework, oversee assessments, and support safeguarding activity while mentoring staff and driving service improvements to achieve positive outcomes for adults and carers.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified and registered Social Worker with substantial experience in Adult Social Care and safeguarding practice.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide practitioners and drive service improvements.
• Ability to chair safeguarding meetings and manage complex casework effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex casework and quality assure assessments and support plans.
• Chair safeguarding meetings and support Court of Protection work.
• Mentor staff and drive improvements while working with multi-agency partners.
