Job summary

Office Angels UK in Dover is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. Based in Dover, you will handle high-volume supplier invoices, perform PO matching, and ensure accurate coding in our Sage/NAV systems.

The role offers hybrid working after probation (three days in the office, two at home) and a salary of £28,000–£30,000, with 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and free parking.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-volume invoice processing
• Ability to perform supplier reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Receive, validate, and process supplier invoices with proper PO matching and coding.
• Supplier Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to keep supplier accounts accurate.
• Payment Runs: Prepare weekly and monthly payment batches in line with internal controls.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform mid-month and month-end reconciliations.
• Intercompany Transactions: Monitor, process, and reconcile intercompany transfers.
• Query Resolution: Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice or payment queries.
• Compliance & Controls: Adhere to financial policies and statutory obligations.
• Reporting: Support month-end processes including accruals and ageing reports.
• System Management: Maintain records in Sage, NAV, or equivalent.
