Stockport Nub News is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Stockport on a permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working (1 day from home) and a salary of £35,000 per year, DOE.

You will support master data, AP, AR and treasury activities to maintain accurate records. Key duties include processing invoices and payments, reconciling supplier and customer accounts, posting receipts, and assisting with month‑end tasks.

Responsabilités

• Create and maintain master data accurately and promptly.
• Process supplier invoices and credit notes with PO matching and approvals.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Prepare payment runs and ensure due dates and discounts are observed.
• Raise and post customer invoices and credits; allocate receipts.
• Monitor aged debt and support credit-control activity.
• Post and reconcile bank transactions; support cash-position reporting.
