Job summary

Porterbrook’s digital services team seeks an experienced Performance & Reliability Engineer to join on a 2.5 year FTC. You will analyse Remote Condition Monitoring outputs and translate data into engineering actions across Porterbrook’s digitally enabled assets, coordinating with our engineering teams and customers to implement maintenance interventions.

You’ll become a subject matter expert on Porterbrook’s digital systems and support the wider team with technical queries, cyber security, and

Qualifications

• Experience with RCM systems and turning data into tangible asset performance gains
• Ability to analyse large and complex datasets
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear language for stakeholders
• Experience in rail rolling stock maintenance, operations or fleet management

Responsibilities

• Analyse the output of Remote Condition Monitoring (RCM) systems and translate data into engineering actions
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to recommend and implement maintenance interventions
• Serve as the focal point for day-to-day interaction with customers on RCM data
• Work with customers and supply chain to develop event detection algorithms
• Develop customer use cases from RCM outputs to enable digital adoption
• Support development of new digital products and tracking KPIs for business cases
