Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for a long-term contract in Bolton. You will develop and integrate data capture, analysis and training systems using C++ and C# on Windows environments.

You will work with multiple subsystems, collaborate with design teams and manufacturing to meet evolving customer requirements. The role focuses on developing and maintaining robust software, participating in system integration and verification while optimizing performance and ensuring design

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in C++ and C# development in Windows.
• Proficient in C# tooling, test interfaces or Windows components.
• Strong multi-threading and concurrent programming skills.
• Solid understanding of software design, memory management and performance.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work from technical docs to inform system software requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software interfaces that capture performance data.
• Support deployment and target testing on Windows hardware.
• Architect robust, scalable, multi-threaded applications.
• Lead integration, verification and testing at component and system levels.
• Perform performance analysis, debugging and real-time optimisation.
