Job summary

Matchtech in Bolton, UK is seeking a C# / C++ Software Engineer to join a focused team developing Windows-based data capture, analysis and training systems for complex products. The role is onsite in Bolton with a 12-month duration, paying a rate of 65ph UMB inside IR35.

Responsibilities include designing and developing interface software, enabling target testing, and delivering robust, scalable multi-threaded applications while collaborating with subsystem and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in C++ and C# development within a Windows environment.
• Strong proficiency in C#, including tooling and Windows components.
• Experience developing multi-threaded and concurrent software applications.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, memory management and performance optimisation.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software requirements and technical documentation processes.
• Ability to contribute to software integration, verification and testing activities.
• A relevant degree or equivalent professional software engineering experience would be advantageous.

Working within a team of software engineers, the role will focus on developing, integrating and maintaining Windows-based data capture, analysis and training systems that support complex products and their associated subsystems.
