Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Glasgow is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Automation and Communication scope for HVDC projects. You will manage interfaces across disciplines and liaise with customers, suppliers and the project team to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant technical area.
• Experience in project management and bid management.
• Background in energy sector with customer-facing involvement.
• Structured, driven and able to improve processes with new ideas.
• Ability to network, work independently and meet clear deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of solutions for complex HVDC projects and challenges.
• Drive completion of engineering activities on the project.
• Coordinate engineering across disciplines and several projects.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning.
• Create work plans and cost estimates, review scope and schedule.
• Interact with customers, officials, contractors and supply chain.
• Coach, review and delegate work to team members; handle complex problems.
