Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Birmingham is hiring a Project Manager - GI Service IE/UK to steer HVDC infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK. The role requires coordinating remote teams, managing scope, schedule, cost and procurement while maintaining safety and quality.

You will liaise with customers and suppliers, drive risk management, and ensure on-time delivery while travel is expected. Visa support is not offered, and a driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• PM qualification desirable with minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
• Experience in scope, scheduling, cost control, procurement and vendor management.
• Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills to coordinate remote teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with client focus.
• Willingness to travel and hold a full clean driving license.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects across Ireland and the UK HVDC sites, defining scope, plans, stakeholders, budget, and deadlines.
• Develop project plans with scope, finances, schedule and risk management.
• Monitor progress, control costs and cash flow, procure services and materials.
• Maintain relationships with customers and internal/external stakeholders; ensure HSE compliance.
