Job summary

National Grid is hiring multiple Control Room Operators to work on site at the Viking Link Interconnector in Bicker Fen, Lincolnshire. You will be part of a shift-based team responsible for real-time operation, monitoring, and control of HVDC interconnectors with 24/7 coverage.

The role requires full UK driving licence, willingness to travel for training, and rotating shift patterns including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitoring and controlling the safe, efficient and reliable operation of interconnectors.

• Coordinating with on-site colleagues for maintenance and fault resolution.
• Ensuring all activities follow policies, procedures and safety rules.
