Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited in London is recruiting a Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a flagship contract on Chancery Lane. The role focuses on maintaining HV/LV electrical infrastructure, monitoring the BMS, and ensuring safety compliance under HVAP standards.

The position operates on a continental 4 on/4 off shift, with days and nights, and offers ongoing HVAP training and a clear progression path within a major commercial building services contract.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical installation or equivalent (C&G/NVQ Level 3).
• HVAP status or willingness to obtain HVAP.
• Proven track record in commercial building services with an electrical focus.
• Proficient with BMS/CAFM platforms; Maximo is a bonus.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and fault-find under pressure.
• Safety-first mindset and proactive communicator.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across the electrical infrastructure — distribution boards, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting and power circuits
• Fault-finding and rectification on electrical systems and building services equipment
• Operating under LOTO procedures and taking ownership of HV safety and compliance where HVAP certified
• Monitoring building systems via the BMS and responding to alarms accordingly
• Supporting mechanical and HVAC systems as needed, alongside the core electrical workload
• Working within the Permit to Work system and supporting statutory compliance
• Overseeing specialist subcontractors on electrical works
• Managing site logbooks, RAMS and maintenance records
• Keeping plant areas clean, secure and in excellent working order
• Producing near-miss reports and contributing to site H&S compliance
