Job summary

ISS is seeking a hands-on HVAC Engineer to lead a team of four engineers in a building services setting. You will oversee preventive maintenance, monitor service performance, and ensure compliance with safety and client requirements.

This role focuses on developing internal capabilities to reduce subcontractor reliance, coordinating contractors, and maintaining up-to-date documentation while safely delivering projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HVAC experience within a building services environment.
• F Gas Category 1 certification.
• HVAC qualification such as City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of four HVAC engineers, ensuring efficient and reliable maintenance and utility plant operations.
• Monitor service delivery performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards.
• Reduce dependency on subcontractors by developing team capability and strengthening internal service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, building operational rules, company policies, and regulatory standards.
• Plan and optimise staff deployment and workload in collaboration with the Technical Services Manager.
• Ensure the timely completion of Work Tickets and Preventive Maintenance Work Orders.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational and maintenance documentation, including drawings, manuals, SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors, support project activities, and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
