Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland's Infrastructure Segment is seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer to join the EGL2 project near Drax, North Yorkshire. You will supervise HVAC installation on a HVDC converter station, coordinate with electrical contractors, and lead safety and quality assurance on site.

You will ensure compliance with DW/144 and manage interfaces, enabling testing and commissioning ahead of handover. The role offers a competitive salary, generous pension and benefits, and a supportive team

Qualifications

• HVAC systems supervision and installation on large HVDC projects.
• Strong safety leadership and adherence to HSQE standards.
• Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and disciplines on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC installation of systems (AHUs, Dehumidifiers, HRUs, VRF/DX).
• Direct and manage subcontractors to ensure safe, timely delivery.
• Ensure safety procedures and permit-to-work systems are followed.
