Job summary

JLB Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer to join a multi-discipline team. You will develop CAD designs, manage BOMs, and produce manufacturing drawings in line with UK and international standards.

The role includes project planning, client liaison, and close collaboration with manufacturing and design functions. Key responsibilities include delivering tasks on time, within budget, and to specification, while seeking continuous improvement and potential training opportunities to advance

Qualifications

• NQF Level 4 qualification required, including relevant study.
• Alternatively, NQF Level 3 with at least 3 years' project engineering experience.
• Experience applying design standards and producing manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop design work using CAD and other software as required.
• Design systems and equipment per UK and international standards.
• Optimise design and production methods to reduce costs and time.
• Produce drawings to optimise manufacturing process and minimise costs.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Create, implement and maintain project work plans.
• Check certification of components and materials per spec.
• Peer check colleagues' work before official review.
• Minimise risk and exposure on projects.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects.
• Take part in close out meetings.
