Job summary

Imperial Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to join the Facilities Management team at a well-established education provider. You will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems to keep campuses running reliably for students, staff and visitors.

Key duties include servicing FCUs, AHUs and heat recovery units, working at height if needed, and contributing to safe working practices and COSHH compliance.

Qualifications

• NVQ/Extended Diploma in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining DHWS/DCWS and HVAC systems in FM.
• MEWP experience desirable.
• Ability to perform risk assessments and follow COSHH.
• Knowledge of solar thermal or air source heat pumps is a plus.
• Self-motivated with ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC equipment including FCUs, Chilled Beams, Heat Recovery Units and AHUs.
• Reactive repairs to heating/cooling failures, including working at height on small bore pipework.
• Service, check and replace thermostatic mixing valves.
• Act as Systems Specialist on the College's mechanical systems.
