Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment is seeking an experienced HVAC Fitter/AC Engineer to join a well-established HVAC company operating across the Southwest, Home Counties and London area. The role focuses on installation and commissioning of air conditioning systems with strict adherence to health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands‑on experience with VRV/VRF/Splits, holds a CSCS card, a full UK driving licence and preferably FGAS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 3 years' experience installing HVAC systems (VRV/VRF/Splits).
• CSCS card held and Health & Safety awareness required.
• Full UK driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission air conditioning systems.
• Plan and organise installation work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain health and safety standards on site and work with a trained team.

Job description

HVAC Fitter / AC Engineer

Location: Southwest, the Home Counties and the London area

Salary: £16 - £18ph

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced HVAC Fitter to join a very well-established HVAC company, operating predominantly throughout the Southwest, the Home Counties and the London area. We have many years of experience of delivering HVAC services using a highly trained workforce. Due to our ongoing success, we have a need to expand further and are therefore currently looking to fulfil the following job opportunity.

The Role:

• Experienced air conditioning fitter with a proven track record in installation and commissioning of air conditioning systems
• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience installing systems such as VRV's, VRF's and Splits.
• Must be a team player, motivated, trustworthy, have a positive 'can do' attitude and able to overcome situations unsupervised
• A good knowledge of Health & Safety and hold a current CSCS card.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ideally City & Guilds 2079 Refrigerant Handling Certificate (FGAS).
• Must have good planning and organisational skills.
• Ideally a City & Guilds or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Experience with ventilation, heating services and ASHP's would also be an advantage but not essential.
