Job summary

Next Generation is seeking an HVAC Engineer to join a well-established Midlands-based HVAC business. The role involves refurbishments, repairs and upgrades to AHUs across customer sites, working to drawings, specifications and installation instructions.

You will assess equipment condition, identify faults, coordinate with colleagues and customers, and support testing, commissioning and handovers. Permanent role with Monday–Friday 8:00–17:00 and a salary up to £40,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience as an HVAC Service Engineer (Essential)
• Mechanical or Electrical bias (Essential)
• Removing, replacing and installing AHU components
• Carrying out installations and refurbishments
• Electrical installations and modifications
• Connecting and testing motors, EC fans, variable speed drives

Responsibilities

• Carry out AHU refurbishment, repairs and upgrades across customer sites.
• Assess current equipment condition, identify faults and highlight required work.
• Follow drawings, specifications and installation instructions.
• Coordinate with colleagues, customers and other contractors to complete scheduled works.
• Follow site procedures, risk assessments and safe isolation requirements.
• Record completed work and test results.
• Support testing, commissioning and handovers within area of competence.
