Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd's client is seeking an HVAC Engineer to maintain regulated commercial buildings across the North of England and Scotland. The role is primarily based in Darlington with travel between sites using a shared company vehicle.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems, fault-find, and support the wider engineering team to keep critical building services running in hospitals, laboratories or other regulated facilities.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Certification required.
• City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) certification required.
• Commercial HVAC maintenance experience essential.
• Strong fault-finding abilities.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

Job description

HVAC Engineer

Darlington

Up to £43,000 + On Call

Our client is looking to appoint an HVAC Engineer to support multiple regulated commercial buildings across the North of England and Scotland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-term contract that has already been established for five years, with a further five years remaining. The role will be based primarily across Darlington, with travel between sites using a shared company vehicle.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC systems, fault finding, and supporting the wider engineering team in maintaining critical building services.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in controlled environments such as hospitals, laboratories, food production facilities, or other highly regulated settings.

Requirements:

• Commercial HVAC maintenance experience

The wider contract consists of Engineers, Maintenance Assistants, Supervisors, and Senior Management. The HVAC team is currently made up of one Mechanical Engineer and one Electrical Engineer, with this role forming part of an expansion plan.

There is an on-call requirement of 1 in 8 once the team is fully staffed
