Job summary

Poolhall Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer to join a national field-based team. You will service, maintain and repair a wide range of systems across commercial, industrial, rail, hotel and high-end residential sites nationwide.

The role involves UK-wide travel with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 DOE, plus a company vehicle and ongoing training. Start ASAP and you’ll be supported by an experienced team.

Qualifications

• Proven HVAC and refrigeration engineering experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience within commercial and industrial environments.
• Ability to work independently and travel nationally.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• F-Gas certification desirable.
• Gas Safe certification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Fault-find and diagnose equipment issues.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Work on chillers and chilled water systems; VRV, VRF, split and multi-split systems; industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment; gas-fired heating systems, boilers and water heaters.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing and professional engineering team. This is a national field-based role covering commercial, industrial, rail, hotel, and high-end residential sites across the UK. You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems while supporting key customer contracts nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Fault-find and diagnose equipment issues
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
• Work on:
  • Chillers and chilled water systems
  • VRV, VRF, split and multi-split systems
  • Industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment
  • Gas-fired heating systems, boilers and water heaters
• Complete service reports and documentation
• Provide excellent customer service across a varied client base

Requirements

• Proven HVAC and refrigeration engineering experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience within commercial and industrial environments
• Ability to work independently and travel nationally
• Full UK Driving Licence
• F-Gas certification desirable
• Gas Safe certification desirable but not essential
