Job description

Job Title: HVAC Engineer

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer for our client in the Essex area. The company is a leading HVAC provider with over 20 years of experience, operating from 6 regional offices. They offer comprehensive solutions including installation, service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of various HVAC equipment.

Their client portfolio includes long-standing clients such as David Lloyd Leisure, Vue Cinemas, Cineworld, Tate & Lyle, Radisson Hotels, Hilton, and Malmaison.

Position and Benefits

• Basic salary up to £42,000 DOE
• Company van with optional personal use
• Profit share scheme after 12 months' service, up to £3,600 tax-free
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• 40-hour workweek with travel paid after 30 minutes each way
• On-call allowance (£1,200 guaranteed, 1 in 4/5 rotation, travel paid door-to-door if called out)

• 22 days' holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in servicing, fault finding, and repairing air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF, Split Units, Chillers, AHUs, and Cold Rooms.

• Air conditioning industry apprenticeship (not essential)
• Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent
• 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (F-Gas) certification
• Full driving license
• Experience in service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of HVAC systems
• Resident in the Essex region
