• 5 over 7
• 7:00am-3:30pm, 11:30am to 8:00pm weekday shifts
• Occasional weekends 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Up to £17.92 per hour depending on experience
• Overtime rate paid at 1.5x

Job Introduction

As HVAC Engineer at Sodexo, you will be the go-to person, the one with the answers to everyone's questions, and the one who knows how to keep the facilities operating smoothly. You will be the specialist providing technical advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, building fabric, and utility services across the Hereford County Hospital estate. What you'll do:

• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment within the hospital estate, carrying out repairs and new works to a high standard. Responsible for the service, installation, maintenance, and testing of complex Refrigeration & Ventilation systems.
• Comply with all Company and Client policies and procedures, and statutory regulations, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH. Be aware of specific hazards in your workplace.
• Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

What you bring:

• Level 2 / 3 NVQ diplomas in heating & ventilation
• Experience of HVAC maintenance and installations
• Experience repairing plant and equipment, fault finding, reading drawings, diagnosing, and repairing using your technical knowledge
• Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, with good organisation skills
• Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team, remaining calm under pressure
