Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting an HVAC Engineer to cover a commercial site in Wellingborough. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and HVAC systems, working with the maintenance team, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

The position is an immediate start, temporary to permanent, with a typical 08:00–17:00 Monday to Friday schedule. A City & Guilds qualified engineer with F-Gas knowledge is required for this client-facing role.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in mechanical/building services.
• City & Guilds 2079-11 (F-Gas and ODS regulations).
• Must provide copies of trade certificates.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Maintain pumps, motors, bearings, seals and compressors.
• Service AHUs and FCUs, change filters and clean.
• Do basic chiller resets and fault finding.
• Monitor BMS and log issues.
• Keep maintenance records up to date.
• Escort specialist subcontractors when needed.
• Provide technical support across the portfolio.

HVAC Engineer - Commercial Building - Wellingborough - Immediate start - £30.73 Per Hour

An exciting immediate opportunity to join an established building services company based in Wellingborough. CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting a HVAC Engineer to cover a commercial site. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00am to 17:00pm
• £30.73 per hour via Umbrella
• Contract type: temp to perm

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, bearings, seals and compressors.
• Service and maintain Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs), including filter changes and cleaning.
• Carry out basic chiller resets and fault finding.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and identify any plant issues.
• Ensure all maintenance records and logbooks are accurately completed.
• Escort specialist subcontractors when required.
• Provide technical support and assist fellow engineers across the portfolio.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Requirements

• Mechanically qualified with City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3
• City & Guilds 2079-11 (Category I F-Gas and ODS Regulations
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
