Base pay range

HVAC Engineer - Darlington - £41,000 Basic

An industry-leading M&E service provider is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Engineer to work at a large commercial site in Darlington, offering a salary of £41,000 per annum. There are excellent opportunities for development and progression within the industry.

This role is immediately available in a dynamic and prestigious building, working as part of a close-knit team.

Job Role:

You will work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with overtime opportunities available. The team consists of 3 engineers working closely together to carry out all PPM and reactive maintenance duties. The ideal candidate should be very technically skilled with strong fault-finding abilities and eager to work in a demanding yet rewarding environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out routine PPM on all HVAC plant according to site schedules and asset lists.
• Completing reactive tasks throughout the building and proactively identifying areas for improvement, including mechanical, plumbing, and fabric tasks.
• Swiftly remedying plant faults and defects to maintain operational order.
• Ensuring the availability of suitable spares for maintenance and reactive works, providing parts lists and estimated completion times.
• Completing all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works promptly and passing it to the contract administrator.
• Preparing and using Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safety.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, including wearing uniforms and PPE at all times.

Relevant work experience includes but is not limited to:

• PPM’s
• FCUs
• AHUs
• Generators
• VRV, VRF systems
• Chillers
• Water treatments

Skills Required:

The successful candidate MUST have:

• Experience within building services for at least 3 years
• F-gas Cat 1 (2079)
• Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
