Job summary

Wild Recruitment Ltd T/A First Recruitment Services is recruiting a Multi‑Skilled HVAC Engineer for field-based work across Sussex, including Crawley, Horsham, Worthing, Brighton and Eastbourne. You will install, service, maintain and repair air conditioning and commercial heating systems, with a focus on fault finding and delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires CITB Air Conditioning and F-Gas qualifications, plus COMGAS credentials, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Qualified in air conditioning and gas safety, with a valid driving licence.
Experienced with fault finding across HVAC equipment and plant rooms.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a field-based role with strong customer service.

Responsibilities

Install, service, maintain and repair air conditioning and commercial heating systems.
Diagnose faults across a wide range of HVAC equipment.
Work on split, multi-split, VRV and VRF systems.
Complete service reports and certification accurately and on time.
Provide clear explanations of faults, repairs and recommendations.
Conduct site risk assessments before starting work.
Support improvements in quality, efficiency and customer service.

Overview

We are recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled HVAC Engineer to join a well‑established and growing business, carrying out installation, service, maintenance and repair works across air conditioning, commercial heating and associated mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and delivering exceptional customer service while working across a diverse range of commercial sites.

Responsibilities

Installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of air conditioning and commercial heating systems
Fault finding and diagnosis across a wide range of HVAC equipment
Working on split, multi‑split, VRV and VRF systems
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works
Ensuring all work is completed in line with industry regulations, manufacturer specifications and Health & Safety requirements
Conducting site‑specific risk assessments before commencing work
Completing service reports, commissioning records and certification accurately and on time
Providing customers with clear explanations of faults, repairs and recommendations
Supporting continuous improvements in quality, efficiency and customer service

Essential Qualifications

CITB Air Conditioning Qualification (or equivalent)
REFCOM F‑Gas Certification
Commercial Gas Qualifications including: CDGA1, CIGA1, COCN1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CEN1/CENWAT
Full UK Driving Licence

Requirements

Proven experience working on: Split systems, Multi‑split system, VRV/VRF system
Experience working within plant rooms, including: Commercial boilers, Associated mechanical systems and controls, Warm air heating systems, Radiant heating systems
Experience working across a range of HVAC manufacturers
Strong fault‑finding, diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
Customer‑focused with excellent interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Self‑motivated and able to work independently
Organised with excellent time‑management skills
