Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £46,865.77 per annum (including Standby Payment, Overtime, Travel Time), with 33 Days Holiday, Private Pension & Benefits including Private Health Care, Life Insurance, and Employee Discounts.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC) to join our company and work with one of our major UK supermarket clients.

The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial heating systems and air conditioning units. You will undertake regular store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs, and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
2. Servicing and repairing mechanical equipment such as boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs, FCUs.
3. Performing minor alterations and installations within your technical competence according to current specifications.
4. Ordering spares following laid-down procedures.
5. Identifying non-repairable faults and advising the HVAC supervisor with recommendations for suitable replacements.

Qualifications / Experience:

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical/HVAC or equivalent qualification.
• ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications: COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A (minimum).

Desirable but not essential:

• ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications: CCN, CENWAT, CPA.
• City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1.
• City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition.

The ideal candidate:

• Flexible to be part of the 24/7 on-call rota (every 1:4 weeks).
• Possesses a full driving license.
• Experience using a PDA system.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Experience in PPM and reactive maintenance within a retail environment.
