Job summary

The City of Liverpool College is seeking a dedicated Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Skills Development Coach to support apprentices in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps programmes. You will conduct workplace assessments, deliver underpinning knowledge, and manage administrative duties to ensure timely progression.

Role requires strong communication, flexible hours including evenings, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps qualification is essential.
• Effective communicator with ability to engage learners, tutors and employers.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings when required.
• Hold a current driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
• Understanding of safeguarding for young people and vulnerable adults.
• Experience with Health & Safety responsibilities and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage relationships with local employers.
• Deliver high quality apprenticeships through workplace assessment and training.
• Prepare learners for End Point Assessment and track progress.
• Screen potential employers and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure opportunities for apprentices to develop skills across all areas.
• Lead recruitment of new apprentices by engaging with employers and schools.
