Job summary

NG Bailey is seeking an HV/LV Electrical Manager to lead high and low voltage electrical operations across diverse projects in Wakefield. The role focuses on safe delivery, efficient planning, and driving continuous improvement while supporting operational teams.

You will steer installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities, oversee budgeting and scheduling, and contribute to tender preparation. Strong leadership and HSQE expertise are essential.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this key leadership position, you will:

• Lead and coordinate HV/LV electrical operations, including installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities.


• Manage project delivery to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.


• Support commercial activities, including estimation, tender preparation, and bid submissions.


• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSQE) standards and procedures.


• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to operational teams, driving high performance.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.


• Oversee planning and resource allocation, including labor, plant, and materials.


• Develop and implement best practice processes and operational procedures.


• Utilize modern technology and systems to improve efficiency and performance.


• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing HV and LV electrical operations within utilities, construction, or industrial environments.


• Strong commercial awareness, including estimation and bid preparation.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.


• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and electrical standards.


• Customer-focused approach with strong stakeholder management skills.


• Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).

Desirable Qualifications:

• AP or SAP authorization for HV/LV systems.


• Experience working with modern digital tools and operational systems.


• Experience delivering projects within regulated environments or for major utility clients.
