Job summary

Aureos in Manchester is seeking a CAD Technician to produce high- quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings supporting HV electrical cabling infrastructure projects. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet project specifications and industry standards.

You will interpret sketches, maintain drawing registers, and collaborate to resolve design issues while contributing to client design packages and CAD template development.

Qualifications

• Experience producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches and convert them into accurate drawings.
• Proven record of maintaining drawing registers and applying document control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings for HV cable routing, joint bays, trench sections and associated infrastructure.
• Interpret engineering sketches and specifications to develop accurate technical drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure document control procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback.
• Support the preparation of design packages for client submission.
• Assist in developing standard drawing templates and CAD libraries.
• Attend design review meetings and contribute to design development.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and client specifications.
• Provide CAD support across multiple projects and ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in HAZID and design coordination meetings as required.
