We are working with a growing electrical engineering business specialising in high-voltage (HV) commissioning, power infrastructure and turnkey electrical solutions. Established in 2018, the business has expanded its operations to include dedicated manufacturing facilities and continues to secure major projects and long-term framework agreements across the UK power networks sector.
Working as a Independent Connection Provider (ICP) with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and private network clients, the company delivers a range of projects involving HV substations, transformers, protection and control systems, and electrical panel manufacturing.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, the business is looking to recruit multiple HV Commissioning Engineers to join its permanent team.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to work on varied, technically challenging projects across the UK, with a competitive salary package and the opportunity to develop their experience across distribution and transmission networks.
As an HV Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out commissioning and testing activities across a range of electrical infrastructure projects, working on both private networks and DNO-related schemes.
Responsibilities will include:
We are interested in speaking with engineers at different stages of their commissioning careers, from developing HV engineers through to highly experienced senior commissioning professionals.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience at 33kV and above would be particularly valuable, with 66kV and 132kV experience highly desirable for more senior positions.
Experience of working directly on DNO networks or holding relevant network-specific authorisations would be advantageous, but candidates with strong private network or ICP commissioning experience will also be considered.
If you are an HV Commissioning Engineer looking for a new challenge, whether you specialise in protection and control, substations, transformers or wider power network commissioning, we would welcome a conversation.
We are keen to speak with both experienced senior engineers and technically strong commissioning engineers looking to take the next step in their careers.
