Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is building a register of HV Cable Jointers across Dorset and the South Coast. The right local opportunity can find you, with roles paying £55,000 to £60,000.

As an HV Cable Jointer you will join and terminate 11kV/33kV cables, read drawings, and support planned works and repairs on distribution networks. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Power Networks and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HV Cable Jointer or jointer's mate.
• 11kV or 33kV jointing authorisation.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Power Networks, or equivalent.
• Background in power distribution, utilities or renewables.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Jointing and terminating LV and HV cables to specification.
• Testing, fault finding and commissioning cable systems.
• Supporting planned works and reactive repairs on distribution networks.
• Following safe systems of work and switching procedures at all times.
• Reading drawings, cable schedules and network specifications accurately.
• Keeping clear, accurate records of every job completed.
