Job summary

Step Teachers is recruiting Humanities teachers for full-time flexible supply roles around Bury St Edmunds. You will support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in History, Geography and Religious Studies, delivering engaging lessons across the Humanities.

Ideal candidates hold QTS, have experience in secondary Humanities, and are adaptable to different schools and year groups with strong classroom management and communication.

Humanities Teacher – Full-time, flexible supply roles starting as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of secondary schools in and around Bury St Edmunds, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.

Duties as Humanities Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging lessons across the Humanities curriculum
  • Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school policies
  • Support pupils’ learning and progress during short-term cover
  • Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency
  • Provide feedback on pupil engagement and lesson outcomes
Ideal Humanities Teacher:
