Simply Education Ltd is partnering with a supportive secondary school to recruit a qualified Humanities teacher with a focus on RE and History. The role covers Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons and supporting student progress in a forward-thinking department.

You will plan, assess and report on pupil progress, contribute to departmental planning, and foster critical thinking about historical, religious and cultural topics within a collaborative school community.

Qualifications

  • QTS is required.
  • Specialism in RE and/or History.
  • Experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging RE and History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Adapt lessons to meet different abilities.

Are you a passionate and dedicated Humanities teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are working on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Humanities teacher with a specialism in RE and History.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school environment where Humanities subjects are highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality RE and History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging RE and History lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting lessons to meet the needs of different abilities
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement
  • Encourage students to develop their knowledge, critical thinking and understanding of key historical, religious and cultural topics
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in RE, History or a related Humanities subject
  • Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge across RE and/or History
  • Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4
  • A passion for Humanities and a commitment to supporting student progress
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
