Inspired Education Group is recruiting a Humanities Teacher (Geography Specialism) for Wetherby Pembridge, a new premium senior school in Olympia, London, opening with Years 7–9 and expanding to Years 7–13. The successful candidate will lead Geography provision, collaborate with the Founding Leadership Team, and contribute to world-class Humanities development.

Role supports a rolling interview process and offers opportunities within Inspired’s global network.

The Role:
We are delighted to welcome applications from outstanding, dynamic and suitably experienced individuals for the role of Teacher of Humanities (Geography), to be in post for January 2027. This is a superb opportunity for the right candidate to leverage their experience as a Geography specialist in a high-performing school environment to contribute to the ongoing development of world-class Humanities provision at Wetherby Pembridge. Working closely with the Founding Leadership Team and Head of Humanities, the successful candidate will have a major role in helping to develop an innovative, ambitious and comprehensive Humanities programme for this exciting next chapter in the Wetherby Pembridge journey.

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teaching a full timetable allocation, covering a generalist Humanities curriculum in Years 7-8 and Geography from Year 9 upwards.
• Planning, preparing and delivering excellent lessons, including working with the SENDCo to ensure that Humanities teaching at Wetherby Pembridge makes appropriate provision for candidates with additional needs
• Promoting the study of Humanities throughout the school
• Attending and contributing to regular departmental meetings
• Contributing to and, where appropriate, leading super-curricular provision within the Humanities, and helping to foster a culture in which broad and regular super-curricular engagement is a routine aspect of student life
• Taking part in lesson observations and work scrutinies
• Liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and others as appropriate to help develop and support Community Partnership opportunities
• For the right candidate, opportunities may exist for additional responsibilities, e.g. coaching Games, contributing to pastoral oversight, teaching Religious Studies etc.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• PGCE, QTS or equivalent with strong academic credentials, including a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, and the right to work in the UK.
• Significant experience of delivering an outstanding Geography provision in a high-performing school environment.
• The ability to teach Geography to A Level.
• The resilience, drive, strength of character and sense of both humour and perspective to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and ambitious environment.
