Students and staff benefit from access to excellent facilities on our split site school, including access to our school farm and Outdoor Learning Centre. Extremely small class sizes and high staff ratios allow us to provide highly bespoke and individualised educational provision to our students with additional support provided from our therapy and pastoral teams.

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver lessons whilst following the national curriculum.
  • Have a desire to work in an SEN setting.
  • Be approachable, flexible and adaptable, with a desire to make a difference in our students' lives.
  • Have the capability for supporting children with social and emotional behavioural needs within an educational environment.
  • Possess effective communication and relationship building skills.
  • Be passionate about providing quality education care and support to young people.
  • To intervene physically with our students, when required, using Team Teach trained techniques when de-escalation strategies have failed (full training will be provided).
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking to improve the quality of pupils' learning.
  • Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom to engage and motivate pupils.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent required.
  • Proven teaching experience.
  • Desire to work in an SEN setting.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build good relationships.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Full UK driving licence – desirable.

What we offer in return:

  • Regular in-house training for all staff to support their role.
  • Funded professional qualifications.
  • Recommend-a-friend - up to £1500.
  • Discretionary Manager & Peer rewards – Amazon vouchers/monetary reward.
  • Company Sick Pay Scheme.
  • On-site parking.
  • Enhanced DBS covered.

New Forest Care is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including employment references and DBS check.
