Full – Time Geography and Humanities Teacher – Basingstoke, Hampshire

Are you passionate about shaping young minds through Geography and Humanities? Ready to take your teaching career to the next level in a supportive, forward-thinking school?

GSL Education are thrilled to offer a full-time Geography & Humanities Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire, starting this September. This role offers an annual salary of £30,000 to £50,000, depending on experience, and provides an exceptional opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and seasoned professionals. The school warmly welcomes visits prior to interview, allowing candidates to experience the school’s ethos and meet the team. Interviews will be conducted over the coming weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography and humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire students to develop a curiosity about the world, societies, and cultures.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and dynamic classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with department staff to enrich the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography and Humanities.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and student development.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
  • Opportunity to take part in a school tour before the interview.
