Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and skilled Humanities teacher to join a secondary school in Portsmouth this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach both Geography and History to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Role:
As a Teacher of Humanities, you will:
Design and deliver dynamic, inclusive lessons in Geography and History that spark curiosity and foster a love for learning.
Use a range of assessment strategies to track student progress and tailor your teaching to support individual needs.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Contribute to the ongoing development of an engaging, diverse curriculum that reflects our students’ interests and backgrounds.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and drive high standards across the department.
Play an active role in nurturing reflective learners in line with the Thinking Schools approach, helping students grow into independent and thoughtful individuals.
About You:
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching both Geography and History.
Bring a strong understanding of effective teaching strategies for Key Stages 3 and 4.
Be committed to fostering academic progress and promoting a growth mindset among all learners.
Be a team player with excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
