£812.50 – £ 1060 per week depending on experience

Connex Education are seeking a KS2- KS4 HumanitiesTeacher to work in a Special school located in Heywood Rochdale.

About the School:

Special school dedicated to providing tailored education for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEMH). The school fosters a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Catering to a diverse range of abilities focused on initialised earning and wellbeing

Assignment details:

Looking for enthusiastic HumanitiesTeacher to teach KS2- KS4, In a special school with variety of SEND including those with social, emotional, mental health ( SEMH ), challenging, Autism, and ADHD.

The hours are 8.30 – 3.30/4pm Monday – Friday

Full time starting September, for long term cover

Essential qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge Humanities – History, geography or sports sciences
• Experience teaching KS2-KS4 Humanities
• Excellent planning and organisational skills

Person specification:

• Excellent communication skills, Empathetic and Patient , being self-regulated and calm. With a positive supportive attitude.
• Knowledge of SEMHUnderstanding of SEMH issues, strategies, and interventions.
• Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
