Our purpose is to inspire That New Look Feeling, and we believe that starts with us. Our values motivate us every day: we play to win, we’re customer-obsessed, and we work as one.

The Role

Focused on our social sustainability strategy, contributing to current targets and advancing our ESG agenda. Developing and delivering our Human Rights Due Diligence programme across our supply chain. You will have a strong team supporting you, including managing, supporting, and developing our Social Sustainability Coordinator and in-country teams, who will work with you to identify social impacts, measure, monitor, and remediate issues.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships and the global audit programme with in-country partners.
  • Review salient risks annually and update strategy priorities.
  • Propose and deliver projects based on identified risks within our supply chain.
  • Monitor and evaluate social sustainability initiatives, making data-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with ethical standards.
  • Develop relationships with ethical trade and sustainability managers in key suppliers to drive improvements.
  • Oversee supplier setups, factory registrations, and coordinate with the Sustainability Coordinator.
  • Implement systems to monitor supplier performance, analyze results, and plan improvements.
  • Maintain and update the supplier manual, sharing process and policy updates.
  • Represent New Look at industry initiatives, managing relationships with campaign groups, NGOs, and stakeholders.
  • Lead the Modern Slavery Working Group, including planning and implementation with the Head of Sustainability.
  • Coordinate data systems and reporting for sustainability reports, Modern Slavery Statement, and industry indices.
  • Develop training and communication strategies for internal teams on social sustainability.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing New Look externally when needed.
  • Manage POs, invoices for memberships and projects.
  • Maintain the factory list and public data lists biannually.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, legislation, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Technical Knowledge & Behaviours
  • Experience in a commercial environment with knowledge of human rights, sustainability, SDGs, and standards.
  • Strong understanding of global human rights issues.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, or coaching in previous roles.
  • Experience with in-country supplier visits and social audits.
  • Background in social sustainability roles within fashion retail, consultancy, or NGOs.
  • Preferred experience with social audit methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and make decisions.
