Job summary

Haleon is seeking a Human Rights Lead for a 12-month fixed term from January 2027 to January 2028. You will partner with Sustainability, Procurement, and HR to advance Haleon’s human rights agenda and provide SME insights across the business.

Based in the Sustainability function and reporting to the Social Impact Director, you will strengthen due diligence, build capability, engage with industry coalitions, and drive transparent reporting while ensuring effective governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the human rights landscape including emerging legislation.
• Experience with modern slavery, labour standards, and supply chains.
• Experience in developing human rights policies and implementation guidance.
• Experience performing human rights due diligence using UNGP and OECD guidelines.
• Undergraduate degree and postgraduate qualification (preferred).
• A thorough approach to task with a close attention to detail.
• Thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present, explain and discuss results of analyses to drive fact-based decision-making

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Haleon's Human Rights Strategy and Action Plan to ensure due diligence and disclosure requirements are met.
• Strengthen human rights due diligence processes for operations and suppliers with a risk-based approach.
• Build capability across the business to identify and manage Human Rights risks including high-risk supply chains.
• Lead engagement in industry coalitions (UNGC, PSCI, Aim-Progress, Slave Free Alliance, BSR).
• Manage internal human rights governance forums and associated risk and audit processes.
• Deliver Human Rights reporting (Human Rights Statement, Health Inclusivity and Sustainability report).
• Provide SME on other risk areas such as Labour standards.
• Monitor programmes to ensure effective delivery.
• Line manage 1 x Human Rights Manager.
