The Opportunity

A People Advisor will provide generalist support to our employees, involved in day-to-day HR activities, onsite support, and advice to line managers and employees at various sites.

This role offers the flexibility to work from home one day per week, based on FTE hours. It can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and industry guidance, reporting non-compliances promptly.
  • Provide advice and support on HR policies, procedures, employment law, Performance Management, Capability, Discipline, and Grievance issues.
  • Act as a focal point for stakeholders regarding employment conditions, salary, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Proactively manage employee relations issues.
  • Advise on immigration matters, ensuring UKBA compliance.
  • Manage long-term absence cases to facilitate timely return to work.
  • Support recruitment activities, including building job descriptions, raising requisitions, conducting interviews, and other requests.
  • Assist with reorganizations, redeployments, redundancies, and TUPE transfers.
  • Prepare documentation for Employment Tribunals.
  • Handle complex compensation and benefit queries, including insurance claims and renewals.
  • Support HR projects and collaborate with stakeholders, including clients and trades.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with HR trends and regulations.

Role Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to various KAEFER sites (~25% of working time).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a HR/People Coordinator role or similar.
  • Knowledge of UK Employment Law and Legislation.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
