Job summary

Oliver Brookes is seeking a People Advisor in Greater Manchester, offering up to c£40,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits. The role reports to the HR Business Partner and covers multiple manufacturing sites, delivering hands-on HR support in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, learning & development and engagement.

People Advisor, up to c£40,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits. Permanent, Greater Manchester.

As People Advisor you will report into the HR Business Partner and be responsible for providing hands on HR support across a number of manufacturing sites. The role will encompass all areas of HR including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, learning & development and engagement activities. You’ll act as the first point of contact for managers and employees, offering pragmatic HR guidance and ensuring processes are delivered effectively and in line with company policies and employment legislation.

You will be an experienced generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment. With sound knowledge of employment law and a practical, solutions-focused approach, you’ll be confident handling casework, supporting recruitment activity, and partnering with leaders to drive performance and engagement. You will coordinate training ensuring files are kept up to date and identify any training needs. A background in manufacturing or a similar environment would be advantageous, but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build credibility quickly will be key to success.
