Job summary

Ashley Kate HR & Finance is partnering with a Manchester-based organisation to recruit a People Advisor. This role combines hands-on HR support with a people-first culture, offering a friendly environment where your contributions are valued and you can develop your HR career.

You will support managers on employee relations, onboarding, performance reviews, change projects, and policy updates, while using data insights to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support managers with employee relations matters including disciplinaries and grievances.
• Provide practical, straightforward HR advice to help managers make decisions.
• Support organisational change projects and wider people initiatives.
• Coordinate onboarding, performance reviews and exit interviews.
• Review and update HR policies for effectiveness and compliance.
• Use people data to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Assist with recruitment activities and HR compliance processes.
• Engage in wellbeing and development initiatives.

Location: Manchester (Hybrid 2 days in office / 3 days from home)

Salary: Up to £40,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

As a People Advisor, you'll be the go-to person for managers, providing hands‑on HR support and guidance across a variety of people matters. You'll enjoy building strong relationships, solving problems, and helping create a positive employee experience from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting managers with employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance concerns.
• Providing practical, straightforward HR advice and helping managers make confident people decisions.
• Supporting organisational change projects and wider people initiatives.
• Coordinating key HR activities, including onboarding, performance reviews, and exit interviews.
• Reviewing and updating HR policies to ensure they remain effective and compliant.
• Using people data and insights to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Assisting with recruitment activities and HR compliance processes.
• Getting involved in engagement, wellbeing, and development initiatives that help employees thrive.
