An independent family-run business in Rotherham is seeking a proactive Human Resources Administrator to join their dynamic team. Location: Rotherham | Salary: £27,000–£35,000 (dependent on experience)
Full-time | Office-based | 37.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday 9am-5pm)

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Human Resources Administrator to join our friendly team in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and approachable HR professional who enjoys a varied generalist role and is keen to make a real impact.
About the Role
In this hands-on position, you’ll be a key point of contact for our team—supporting HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, promoting a positive working environment, and ensuring our people feel empowered and engaged. Working on-site is essential for this role to provide immediate support, build strong team relationships, and play an active role in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
·Be the go-to person for employee queries and provide HR support across the business
·Manage administrative tasks across the full employee lifecycle
·Support recruitment, onboarding, and probation reviews
·Maintain accurate employee records (attendance, holidays, absence, etc.)
·Handle initial employee concerns, complaints, and grievances, escalating where necessary
·Assist with payroll preparation and ensure accurate submission of data
·Liaise with agencies to coordinate temporary staff when required
·Prepare monthly HR reports and statistics
·Support the Manufacturing Manager in employee meetings, including minute-taking
·Coordinate training programmes and track certification compliance
What we're looking for
·Previous experience in HR administration with a solid understanding of HR processes and employment law
·CIPD qualification or similar HR certification (desirable but not essential)
·Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
·Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proactive and professional approach
·Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels and external partners
·Mental Health First Aid qualification is a plus
