Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking Human Factors consultants to join their Human Centered Design team in Birmingham. You will explore opportunities to develop and grow WSP's Intelligent Infrastructure expertise.

The role involves applying principles of human factors to transportation projects, conducting research, and supporting client proposals. Ideal candidates will have a degree in a relevant field and experience in human-centred design.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, preferably in ergonomics or human factors.
• Experience in human-centred design thinking, co-creation, and innovation.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams to tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Human Factors in safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply and integrate key principles of human factors into projects.
• Design and report qualitative and quantitative research.
• Identify users and incorporate behavioural insights.
• Perform human factors assessments for designs.
• Support client proposals and manage future opportunities.
