About the Company - My Client is seeking a technically proficient Human Factors Safety Consultant to join a collaborative, forward-thinking team delivering cutting-edge Human Factors Integration (HFI) solutions within high-hazard, complex socio-technical systems. This role will focus on Defence programmes, to support where Human Factors support is growing in demand. You will work both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams, applying your expertise to support engineering programmes, safety cases, and system development lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities: - Contributing to Human-Based Safety Claims, Human Reliability Assessments (e.g., task analysis, HEART, THERP), and applying UK and international Human Factors standards. Engaging in client liaison, supporting business development through technical input to bids, and contributing to the internal Human Factors knowledge base. Occasional travel to client sites or other regional offices may be required.
About the Role: - Experience delivering Human Factors safety assessment in high-hazard environments in the Defence sector. A desire to further develop your knowledge and experience in this area if recent to this area of expertise. Familiarity with engineering terminology and safety case development. Knowledge of Human Reliability methods and relevant HFI standards/guidelines. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Degree or postgraduate qualification in Human Factors, Psychology, Engineering, or Industrial Design. Working toward or holding CIEHF Registered/Chartered status. Choice of locations around the UK available.
