Position: Marine Expert - Vessel Assurance (m/f/d)

Location: Swindon, United Kingdom

Type: Full-time / Part-time, Permanent, starting as soon as possible

Your responsibilities:
  • Develop offshore wind farm installation logistics concepts for RWE Renewables’ projects, focusing on foundation, cable, wind turbine, and floating wind turbine installation.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards for marine operations.
  • Set vessel requirements and standards for offshore operations.
  • Support offshore development and construction activities, including vessels like CTVs, SOVs, supply vessels, heavy-lift vessels, jack-ups, cable laying, scour protection vessels, and anchor handling tugs.
  • Assist procurement by reviewing scope of works, evaluating tenders, and negotiating contracts.
  • Evaluate port layouts and load-out proposals.
  • Review risk assessments, method statements, and operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external parties such as authorities and vessel suppliers.
  • Assess installation methodologies from technical and commercial perspectives.
Your profile:
  • Marine background, preferably as Master Mariner.
  • Operational experience with vessels, including DP operations, heavy lifting, and jacking operations.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining safety management systems.
  • Minimum five years in marine project management.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong collaborator, self-motivated, and flexible to travel across Europe, US, and APAC.
  • Ability to work offshore and at heights.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Structured thinker with method development skills.
