Job summary

Evri Premium in Coventry is seeking a Transport Operations Manager to lead a compliant, safe and cost-efficient transport operation. You will manage a team, drive performance with data, and plan resources to meet peak demand while delivering a first-class service for clients.

You will report to the Transport Manager and use operational data to identify root causes, improve processes and maintain high standards across the operation.

Qualifications

• CPC National qualification required.
• Strong experience in transport operations and compliance.
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to influence and improve performance.
• Experience managing operational performance, costs and KPIs.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good IT skills and experience with transport management systems.
• Experience with Isotrak, TMS and Tachomaster is advantageous.
• Hold a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Shift Managers and teams to deliver a safe, compliant and high-performing operation.
• Support transport planning to meet performance, compliance and client service requirements.
• Monitor costs and performance, identify efficiency improvements and manage costs.
• Use transport data/MI to identify trends, challenge performance and drive improvements.
• Utilise vehicle telemetry to improve driving standards, fleet efficiency and fuel performance.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation and Operator Licence requirements.
• Conduct health & safety and quality audits, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Produce detailed shift/performance reports and implement improvement plans.
• Plan robustly for Peak periods and forecast changes in demand.
• Drive consistent standards and ongoing improvements across the function.
• Hold regular 1:1s, reviews and team meetings to engage colleagues.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver service excellence.
