Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor for the Regional Scotland team, based at the Netherton Hub project in Peterhead. The role supports the delivery of the UK HSW Strategy across a major infrastructure scheme including HVDC/HVAC works and civil engineering.

You will drive Zero Harm, support KPI delivery, and investigate incidents to uphold high safety standards. You'll liaise with management to implement tailored Risk-based SLAs, conduct regular site inspections,

Qualifications

• Experience in complex construction and civils projects.
• Ability to understand and apply UK HSW Strategy and regulatory framework.
• Proven track record of incident investigation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand and support delivery of UK HSW Strategy.
• Contribute to the Zero Harm and Sustainability Action Plan delivery and review.
• Support delivery of HSW KPIs at project and business level.
• Assist bids with quality HSW responses for proposals and PQQs.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss events per BB group standards and BMS.
• Develop and review local risk-based Service Level Agreements per project quarterly.
• Conduct regular site inspections per project risk matrix.
• Produce formal reports on HSW inspections and project performance.
• Regularly check Health and Safety Risk Management and implement actions.
